About your future role
This job opportunity will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance Strategy, ambitions, and targets in the role of ESG Lead for Nordics.

You will be part of the Group ESG & Sustainability function composed of a team of knowledgeable, collaborative and passionate people with the responsibility to leading the company sustainability strategy development and execution within an international and dynamic environment, acting as enabler to actioning towards ESG agenda and targets, gathering ESG measurements and impacts analysis from across the company, communicating towards the company board and relevant committees, and securing adherence to ESG standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be in charge of supporting and contributing to the Group ESG & Sustainability function & its goals.

The main responsibilities and tasks of the position are:

  • Drive ESG Strategy execution monitoring across the Region business, proactively highlighting opportunities for further evolution.  Contribute to developing the Group ESG & Sustainability Strategy
  • Manage the ESG disclosure and reporting (e.g. ESG Ratings, Sustainability Statement in the annual report, etc.), securing the e2e process with internal business and functional owners' involvement across the ESG material areas, targets, risks, projects, etc.
  • Stay aware of global ESG trends, regulations, and best practices, then contribute to analyzing potential implications to keeping competitive ESG positioning and compliance with relevant ESG regulations and standards
  • Drive and/or contribute to ESG policy analyses, policy development, and action planning
  • Drive and facilitate ESG transformative initiatives to keep a competitive position vs the latest trends, regulations, and expectations.
  • Contribute to conducting ESG assessments and due diligence for business, incl. portfolio, operations, suppliers, and projects.
  • As part of the overall ESG & Sustainability unit and effort, support other departments in integrating ESG principles and targets into their plans, and drive building awareness by providing ESG expertise, content, and insights.
  • Contribute to communicating ESG initiatives and progress to internal and external stakeholders through facts & figures data collection, expert inputs, presentation, and more.
  • Drive partnership initiatives with high sustainability impacts and advocacy in the Region Nordics
  • Analyze and address Region Nordics clients' and other key stakeholders' needs on ESG, working in collaboration with other business functions. Turn clients expectations in action/opportunity in line with ESG strategy.

Job requirements

Qualifications needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Economics, or Sustainability, or a related field. Professional certifications in sustainability or ESG would be a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant ESG-related fields and complex organizations
  • Understanding of global ESG trends, ESG frameworks, standards, and regulatory environments, e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, ESG Ratings (S&P, CDP, Ecovadis, etc.), and other reporting frameworks
  • Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to track and extract insights from complex data sets and understanding of GHG emissions, responsible sourcing, circular economy, life cycle analysis, governance
  • ESG measurements experience, ISO requirements compliance management experience
  • Project & Program Management orientation and capability
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international environment
  • English on a high level is a requirement, Danish language knowledge will make a difference but is not a requirement - Italian language is appreciated
